Jessica Chastain is joining the cast of The Huntsman, Universal’s Snow White-less prequel to Snow White and the Huntsman. The film will also star Chris Hemsworth and Emily Blunt.

It’s not clear what role she will take, but she will also be joined by Charlize Theron and Nick Frost, who are both returning to the franchise. According to Deadline, it had at first looked like Frost wouldn’t be in the film, but he must have worked out a deal with the studio.

Blunt remained in talks with the film, even after The Shawshank Redemption’s Frank Darabont left the film in January. Now, The Huntsman will serve as Oscar-nominated visual effects supervisor Cedric Nicolas-Tryon’s feature directing debut. He worked on the first film, so he has experience on big projects.

Darabont did work on the script. Earlier versions were written by Craig Mazin and Evan Spiliotopoulos.

Chastain is now working with Ridley Scott on The Martian and just finished Crimson Peak.

She had a great 2014, appearing in Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar, the critically acclaimed A Most Violent Year and The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby.
