Tuesday is your lucky day if you’re in the mood for an Original Glazed doughnut from Krispy Kreme.
To celebrate the launch of its 1,000th store, located in Kansas City, the doughnut chain is offering a free doughnut to the first 1,000 customers today.
Krispy Kreme CEO Tony Thompson said in a statement, "We are looking forward to sharing this joyful occasion with the millions of fans who enjoy our products in countries around the world," USA Today reports.
Don’t worry – this isn’t a ploy to get you there so you buy other items. There’s absolutely no catch to this promotion. Just show up and collect your free doughnut!
There’s more: the first 100 customers are in for more special treats. When the store opened at 6am, the first customer in line won a free box of a dozen doughnuts every week for one year. If you missed out on that, instead of every week, the next 99 customers will win a free box of a dozen donuts every month for the next year.
