It seems that not everyone is under the Fifty Shades of Grey spell that has been put on the box office. A drive-through movie theater in Concord, California is under fire for showing the racy R rated movie next to a showing of The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water.

Fox News reported that Deborah Powell brought a group of children to see the family friend movie but Grey was right within their eyesight.

[On the screen] at the time there was a woman being slapped, naked, bound up… so, we had to have our children close their eyes,” Powell explained to KTVU, a Fox affiliate.

The drive-in movie theatre have to screens and both face the same direction. Powell said that she decided to leave after complaining to the movie theater management. “There is no way to avoid looking at that screen. It's too tempting. So, we couldn't stay. So, we had to turn around. My children were devastated.”

Other parents also expressed their outrage about showing Grey while SpongeBob was playing.

Grey made over $94 million at the box office during its debut over the holiday weekend, The Wall Street Journal reported.
