For Rob Schrab, everything is awesome. Schrab will direct the sequel to The Lego Movie.

According to Deadline, this will be Schrab’s debut project as director. The first film’s directors, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, will write and produce the film. Dan Lin and Roy Lee are also producing.

“We are so excited to collaborate with Rob. He is a comedy genius, a visual savant, and we have been stalking him for years,” Lord and Miller said. “No one works harder than Rob, and his aesthetic, combined with his sense of humor, bring a strong, unique, thoughtful, and passionately nerdy voice to this project.”

The Lego Movie was recently snubbed for a Best Animated Feature nomination at the 87th Academy Awards, an award that ultimately went to Disney’s Big Hero 6. Lord and Miller took it in stride, though, making their own Oscar out of Lego bricks.

The first film grossed $470 million dollars, and future Lego films are on the way. A Ninjago film is slated for release on 23 September, 2016 and a Lego Batman film will come out in May 2017.

Schrab’s previous directing credits include Community, The Mindy Project and Parks and Recreation.
