While one would think Samuel L. Jackson worked with seemingly every director in Hollywood by this point, it turns out he'll soon be directed by Tim Burton for the very first time on the filmmaker's latest project, Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children.

Deadline reports Jackson is in talks to star in Burton's latest as Barron, a key role which nobody confesses as being good or bad. The actor joins Eva Green, who's signed on to play the titular character, marking her second feature with Burton after Dark Shadows, while Asa Butterfield (Hugo) is also attached as a lead.

Interesting enough, according to ScreenCrush, other actors considered for the part ranged from Laurence Fishburne to Amanda Seyfried.

Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children is based on the book of the same name written by Ransom Riggs, and is adapted to the screen by Jane Goldman (Kick-Ass). Production for Burton's new film is set to start soon, with its release scheduled for March 4, 2016, under 20th Century Fox.

Jackson, currently filming a role in Quentin Tarantino's The Hateful Eight, soon will be seen in Friday's Kingsman: The Secret Service and also stars in Cell, Avengers: Age of Ultron and Barely Lethal later this year.
