Between the performances at the Grammys, the Recording Academy will find some way to squeeze in a few awards presentations on Sunday night. They’ve ensured that Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus will both show up, even though neither of them are performing.
Both Swift and Cyrus would likely have attended anyway, since they are both nominated for major awards. Swift’s “Shake It Off” was nominated for Record of the Year and Song of the Year. Cyrus’ Bangerz is up for Best Pop Vocal Album.
The other presenters include a long list of musicians, Grammy nominees and actors who need to plug CBS or CW shows. (That must be the only reason why Scorpion’s Katharine McPhee is presenting.) Anna Kendrick, who stars in the upcoming Pitch Perfect 2 and Gwyneth Paltrow (whose estranged husband Chris Martin is performing) will be among the movie stars presenting.
