Taylor Swift just released her music video for her latest single Style on Friday; and needless to say the video is very much different from her previous videos. This video seems more grown up than her others, not that her other videos aren’t grown up either. In this video she’s not seen slashing her ex-boyfriend’s tires, or picturing what it’d be like with a guy who is her waiter.
This is probably one of my favorite videos by her, along with her video for Blank Space. With this album, I feel like Swift has found her niche in music and is trying to part ways with the songs about the ex-boyfriends. This song is definitely one of my favorites from ‘1989’, and I have been waiting for the official video forever. Now that it’s here, I can’t stop watching it and dancing around to it.
In the video, there are many fade ins and outs, just like the line in the song “Fade into view." There is just more of a mature and grown up Taylor Swift in this video, and it’s one that most fans will hopefully love. It will be interesting to see what other kind of music Swift will come out with, and the storylines of the videos she will come up with.
While the public is interested on who Taylor is dating next, I’m more interested in the new music she has out and will come out with in the future. It is safe to say that Swift has matured and is not writing all of her songs directly on ex-boyfriends.
