Authorities have said that one person was killed and two others were injured after a medical helicopter crashed in rural Oklahoma.
Reuters reported that the copter went down just before 11:30 p.m. Thursday near Eufaula, which is approximately 60 miles outside of Tulsa.
The chopper was enroute from McAlester to Tulsa when the accident occurred.
NBC News noted that the aircraft was registered to EagleMed LLC, and the passengers on board are all employees of the company.
"First and foremost our thoughts and prayers are with the families and loved ones of those involved and our entire EagleMed family,” the company said in a statement. “Two crew members survived and sadly, one crew member perished."
The names of the deceased person and the injured have not yet been released.
Few details about the crash are known at this time and the cause of the accident is currently being investigated by the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board.
