Three people were killed and four people were wounded Tuesday night in a shooting at a Stockton, California grocery store.
ABC 7 in Los Angeles reported that the drive-by shooting occurred just after 8 p.m. at the Madison Market, which is located in a high-crime area known for gang violence.
The New York Daily News noted that authorities have said the victims were found inside and outside of the small market.
The deceased included two females aged 20 and 27 and one 24-year-old male. Those wounded and hospitalized were all men who range in age from 24 to 38. Officer Joseph Silva said that their injuries are not life-threatening.
The victims’ names have not been released and it is unclear if they knew one another or were connected in any way.
No arrest have been made at this time but the shooting is still under investigation and because of where the incident occurred, police will look into a possible link to gang activity.
