Eleven members of the U.S. Military, who were involved in a helicopter crash in Florida, are now feared dead after they went missing on Tuesday.

ABC News reported that officials said seven Marines and four soldiers went missing around 8:30 p.m. when a UH-60 Black Hawk chopper crashed during a training exercise at Eglin Air Force Base.

Eglin base spokesman Andy Bourland said that it is not yet known what caused the crash or if weather played a role.

"There was fog. I do not know at this time if it was a contributing factor, but when our search-and-rescue personnel arrived on scene there was very limited visibility," he said.

Debris from the crash was discovered around 2 a.m. and all of the men are feared to have died in the crash as Bourland told NBC News that human remains were found. However, he did not go into the specifics or say if any positive identifications have been made.

At this time information is still being gathered and an investigation into the accident is being conducted.

The Eglin Air Force Base is located near Valparaiso in Okaloosa County and the 96th Test Wing is the host unit.
