Bradley Cooper's box office killer, American Sniper, is officially 2014's highest earning movie. The film has grossed $337.21 million domestically, topping The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, which has grossed $336.796 million so far, Just Jared reports.

Clint Eastwood's war drama, which chronicles the real-life story of soldier Chris Kyle, was an instant success after its record platform release on Christmas Day, Deadline reports. But, the film's success isn't slowing down yet- it’s on track to make its way to $345M stateside.

The Oscar-nominated film has grossed over $475 million worldwide and was nominated for six Oscars, including Best Picture. In almost every market where it debuted in the past two months, American Sniper had the biggest premiere weekend for a Clint Eastwood-helmed movie ever and is now the director’s top title of all time.

American Sniper is also a huge personal success for Cooper. Warner Bros noted this week that it is the No. 1 war movie ever and the top-grossing film of Bradley Cooper’s career. The Silver Linings Playbook actor scored his third consecutive Oscar nomination for his portrayal of the famed war hero credited with more than 160 kills by the US Navy. He previously received a Best Supporting Actor nomination for his role in American Hustle and a Best Actor nom for Silver Linings Playbook. It seems Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence are on a winning streak, as the actress was also nominated for both films and was in direct competition with Cooper for her Hunger Games film.

“The film’s success speaks to director Clint Eastwood’s brilliance and Bradley Cooper’s amazing performance as well as this massively heroic soldier Chris Kyle,” said Warner Bros distribution EVP to Deadline. “His story resonated so completely, not just here in the U.S., but around the world.”

Kyle's story will now forever be remembered across the world.
