You probably never wanted to smell like the Home of the Whopper but just in case, Burger King is debuting a perfume in Japan to give you that um, all-beef patties scent … maybe.
CNN reported that ads in Japan claim that the fast-food chain is actually going to sell a limited-edition fragrance called “Flame-Grilled,” but it could all be a joke.
You see, the perfume is set to be released on April Fool’s Day, which means the burger joint might be pulling our leg.
People.com noted that if BK really does sell this odd fragrance, it will join a few other restaurants that actually sell products smelling like that particular establishment’s food. Pizza Hut has already done the perfume thing and White Castle released its own scented candle.
The Burger King advertisements say that “Flame-Grilled” will sell for 5,000 yen (around $41 dollars) and will come with a free Whopper. But we won’t find out till April 1 if the whole deal is legit.
