Amazingly, it has been almost three years since Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe” took over the universe. Now, the Canadian singer has finally released a follow-up in an effort to make sure she doesn’t join a Vh1 countdown show of one-hit wonders.

The track is called “I Really Like You” and it’s already available on iTunes. It will be featured on Jepsen’s new album, which will be out this summer.

In a world where artists get forgotten about if they don’t keep their momentum going, Jepsen’s manager, Scooter Braun, thinks that the new song will remind everyone that Jepsen still exists. In a recent interview with Billboard, Braun explained that he wanted to make sure that her follow-up would be as good as “Call Me Maybe.”

“I told her that she couldn't come out with anything unless it was on the level of 'Call Me Maybe.' And, now we have a new one that is on that level,” Braun said.

While the song does sound different, it will be accompanied by an outrageous music video like “Call Me Maybe” was. The video was filmed in New York City, with Justin Bieber making an appearance. Tom Hanks also has a cameo.

“Call Me Maybe” was such a big hit that the song took over the Internet and inspired countless covers and parodies. She even performed it using classroom instruments with Jimmy Fallon.
