The live action remake of Disney's Cinderella has already grossed over $23 million dollars at the box office on Friday.

Hit Fix reported that the live action remake is having one of the strong openings for a film in 2015. The fairy tale is on par to make over $70 million at the box office in total opening weekend.

That would be the second biggest opening for a movie in 2015, right behind Fifty Shades of Grey which made $85 million in its opening three days.

The movie stars Lily James, Cate Blanchett, Richard Madden, and Helena Bonham Carter.

Entertainment Weekly added that before Cinderella there is a short film that features the cast of Frozen, Frozen Fever, which could also be a huge draw for the movie.

The other film opening this weekend is Liam Neeson with Run All Night. The action film brought in $3.85 million during it's opening day.
