One Direction fans are stealing deal with Zayn Malik leaving the band and many celebrities are sending him well wishes and positive thoughts, including close friend of One Direction, Ed Sheeran.

Sheeran was recently interviewed at an Australian radio show Hughesy and Kate and was asked what he thought about Malik leaving the band, Billboard reported.

"I think whatever makes him happy. The most important thing in life is to be happy, and if he was unhappy in that situation then, yeah, don't stay in it," said Sheeran. "You don't want to make yourself unhappy just to earn money, that's not what life's about. You're meant to enjoy life, and if he wasn't enjoying his life then fair play to him."

The "Thinking Out Loud" singer went on to further explain his thoughts saying that if he wanted to take some time away from the industry, it wouldn't be such big news compared to Malik because he has four other band mates to worry about.

Sheeran is not taking time away from the industry anytime soon though, he has just released the brand new music video for "Bloodstream" which features actor, Ray Liotta playing a washed up drug addicted former rock star, Rolling Stone added.
