San Francisco 49ers running back Frank Gore has reportedly agreed to sign with the Philadelphia Eagles.
According to Yahoo Sports, Gore and the Eagles have reached a deal for three years including $7.5 million guaranteed. The deal won't be officially announced until the NFL's new season begins on March 10 at 4 p.m.
The acquisition of Gore will help the Eagles fill the void left behind after trading star running back LeSean McCoy to the Buffalo Bills. Gore is the 49ers all-time leading rusher with 11,073 career yards after 10 seasons in San Francisco.
Gore isn't the only free agent to come to terms with the Eagles. Seattle Seahawks cornerback Byron Maxwell has
agreed to a contract with the team. Philadelphia also plans on re-signing quarterback Mark Sanchez who appeared in eight games last season throwing 14 touchdowns to 11 interceptions.
At 31 years old, Gore rushed for 1,106 yards and four touchdowns while averaging 4.3 yards per carry last season. He leads the NFL in rushing yards over the past 10 years and hasn't missed a game since 2010.
