We know what Batman, Wonder Woman and even Aquaman will look like in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and now we finally know what Jesse Eisenberg will look like as Lex Luthor. The first image of the Oscar nominee as Superman’s archenemy has been revealed.
The picture, posted by Entertainment Weekly, shows Eisenberg staring directly at the viewer. It does confirm that Lex will be bald in the movie. Director Zach Snyder also told EW that Eisenberg’s Lex is far different from any other Lex that has been on the big screen.
“He’s not any of the Lexes that you’ve seen, that’s for sure... other than him being a captain of industry and one person to the world and another person to himself,” Snyder said. “And bald, of course.”
Snyder also said that Luthor is “not fake” and really believes everything he says. “If you can unravel the string and decipher what he means, it’s all there,” the director added.
Eisenberg, who was nominated for an Oscar for playing Mark Zuckerberg in The Social Network, got the role in January 2014. He later called his character a “complicated, challenging person.”
The actor has signed to appear in the role in multiple films. In October, Deadline reported that he is going to appear in Suicide Squad.
Batman v Superman hits theaters on March 15, 2016.
