MGM and Sony released the first teaser trailer for SPECTRE, the 24th film in the James Bond franchise. Running just a minute and a half, the footage already confirms that 007 is in trouble again.
At the beginning, Moneypenny (Naomie Harris) tells Bond (Daniel Craig) that personal effects were discovered at Skyfall, revealing that he has a secret that he can’t tell anyone since he has no one to trust. That leads Bond on a mysterious journey into the secret organization SPECTRE. While he’s not shown in the trailer, M (Ralph Fiennes) is also having problems of his own, as he tries to convince the government that MI6 should be kept alive.
The rest of the cast includes Ben Whishaw, Rory Kinnear, Christoph WAltz, LEa Seydoux, Monica Bellucci, Dave Bautista and Andrew Scott.
The trailer follows last month’s first look at the making of the film. In the video, the crew was seen filming an action sequence in the Austrian Alps.
SPECTRE is being directed by Sam Mendes, who returns after overseeing Skyfall, the most financially successful Bond film in history. The 2012 movie also won Oscars for its title song and sound editing.
The new movie opens in the U.S. on Nov. 6 and in the U.K. on Oct. 23.
