Serena, the long-lost project Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence filmed together between Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle, surprisingly got a New York premiere event on Saturday. Even more surprising is the fact that both stars showed up.

Lawrence and Cooper took questions from journalists at the event, which resulted in a really funny exchange with Variety. When asked how they felt about the movie being dumped on Video On Demand, Lawrence said she didn’t even know what VOD is.

“I thought it was some sort of disease,” she said.

Cooper then added, “It could be.”

“I think it’s a huge crisis. Let’s talk about it, build awareness about it,” Lawrence joked.

Lawrence also revealed that she was the one who asked Cooper to star in the movie, which stars Lawrence as a power-hungry woman in North Carolina. “I forced him to come onto the movie,” she joked, notes The Daily News.

Danish Oscar-winner Susanne Bier, who directed the film, did not attend the event. 2929 Entertainment’s Todd Wagner was there and noted that Cooper did get to see early edits of the film. It notoriously took Bier over a year to put together and wasn’t shown publicly until the BFI London Film Festival in October.

The film was picked up by Magnolia, which is co-owned by Wagner, in the U.S. It is already available on VOD.
