After they helmed Captain America: The Winter Solider, directing brothers Joe and Anthony Russo are everywhere these days. They've got their hands in a couple pies at the moment, but they've now just officially signed on to direct two of the most anticipated superhero movies of all time: Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 and 2.

After suggested to helm the next Avengers films this November, Deadline confirms the Russo brothers officially signed on to make the films after their commitments to next year's Captain America: Civil War. That film is scheduled to start production in less than two weeks for its May 6, 2016 release.

With this news, it brings to question what becomes of their recently announced Ghostbusters film starring Channing Tatum and written by Drew Pierce (Iron Man 3). It comes as part of their three-year first-look deal with Sony.

They also are scheduled to produce an NBC pilot for Aseem Batra. Needless to say, whatever films they do end up making they have some busy years coming up.

Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 is scheduled to hit theaters on May 4, 2018 with part two to come out on May 3, 2019. Meanwhile, under the direction of Joss Whedon, the next Avengers film Avengers: Age of Ultron comes to theaters on May 1.
