Judge Judith Sheindlin is still one of the biggest stars on television, so it’s no surprise that CBS Television Distribution signed her to continue Judge Judy through 2020.
Terms of the deal were not announced on Monday, but Sheindlin, 72, is already the highest-paid personality on TV. In 2013, TV Guide reported that she was making $47 million a year, leaving everyone else in the dust.
“We could not be more excited to continue our longtime relationship with Judy,” Armando Nunez, president and CEO of CBS Global Distribution Group, said in a statement, reports The Associated Press. “She is a true television icon, who entertains and inspires millions of fans each day.”
The show is currently in its 19th season, but shows no signs of slowing down. During the week of Feb. 9, judge Judy averaged a whopping 10.1 million viewers. That’s more than some primetime shows.
CBS will also get first-look rights to new projects from Sheindlin’s production company, including Hot Bench.
CBS also didn’t have to make this move right away. In April 2013, the network signed her through 2017.
