The Wachowski's siblings latest film, Jupiter Ascending did not impress at the domestic box office but is still doing well internationally. The movie took the top spot at the international box office.

The Wrap reported that Jupiter Ascending made $23.5 million at the international box office. The film opened up strong in China. The sci-fi thriller pulled in $23.2 million dollars in China.

These totals help to take the movie to $152 million worldwide and $107 million of that coming from overseas.

Big Hero 6 took the second spot making $19.6 million in 25 different locations. 6 has now crossed the $600 million mark worldwide.Fifty Shades of Grey came in third place and made around $17.7 million.

The domestic box office was another low revenue weekend. Niell Blomkamp's Chappie pulled in $13 million in the United States. Chappie features an A-list cast, including Hugh Jackman, Dev Patel and Sigourney Weaver.

Deadline reported that Blomkamp's Chappie had a strong debut in Asia.
