Kelly Clarkson has earned the third Billboard 200 No. 1 album of her career with her latest album, Piece by Piece. While it didn’t earn a huge debut, it was still enough to top the chart.
Piece by Piece, which features “Heartbeat Song,” moved 97,000 units during its first week, according to Nielsen Music and Billboard. That total includes track downloads and streaming. Of that total, 83,000 was traditional album sales.
This is the former American Idol winner’s first No. 1 album since 2009’s All I Ever Wanted. However, all of her albums have reached the top 10, including 2013’s Wrapped In Red.
The Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack climbed to No. 2 with 96,000 unites, even though sales were down from last week.
The only other debut in the Top 10 was Brandi Carlile's The Firewatcher’s Daughter, which came in at No. 9 with 43,000 units.
Last week’s No. 1, Big Sean’s Dark Sky Paradise, fell to No. 6 in its second week. Kid Rock’s First Kiss was nowhere to be found in the Top 10.
