Kendrick Lamar has claimed a unique first when it comes to the Billboard records. Lamar has become the first musician to have a number one album with "Pimp" in the title.
The Huffington Post reported that the last album to make the charts with "Pimp" in the title was Pimp C's Pimpalation. That album hit the third spot on the Billboard Top 200 charts back in 2006.
Billboard.com added that the last album with "pimp" in the title that charted was Pimp C's "Pimpalation," which hit No. 3 in 2006.
Pimp A Butterfly has already sold over 360,000 copies and has surpassed Lamar's previous album good kid, m.A.A.d city.
Lamar has been breaking records all over the world, he has the number one album in the U.K. and broke streaming records on Spotify. To Pimp a Butterfly was listened to over 9.6 million times. Lamar took the record away from Michael Buble, who held the record with 9.5 million streams with his Christmas album.
