Little Big Town has been at the center of controversy with their latest single "Girl Crush." The song is being pulled from radio ariwaves because fans are feeling that the lyrics are inappropriate and now the band is speaking out in defense of their single.

The band was featured on The Bobby Bones Show and addressed the issues. "The lyric of 'Girl Crush' is written in kind of a sexy way. So some people might turn it off when they get to the 'I want to taste your lips' and all that. But once they get to the hook they go, 'Oh,'" said Karen Fairchild of Little Big Town. "You've got to lean in a little bit, but the fans are really loving this one."

Good Morning America reported that Fairchild did say that she understands the song is very provocative but the band always wanted to go ahead and record it.

Fans are still supporting the song on iTunes but it has been lacking on the radio charts, only coming in at the 33rd spot out of the top 50 for songs being played on country music stations.
