Country group, Little Big Town has been topping the charts for weeks on iTunes but the song is going to be pulled from radio airwaves because fans are feeling that the lyrics are inappropriate.
Fans are still supporting the song on iTunes but it has been lacking on the radio charts only coming in at the 33rd spot out of the top 50 for songs being played on country music stations.
The Washington Post reported that the lyrics that are in question include, "I want to taste her lips, yeah cause they taste like you / I want to drown myself in a bottle of her perfume." Karen Fairchild goes onto sing, "I want her long blond hair, I want her magic touch / Yeah cause maybe then, you’d want me just as much. . . I got a girl crush.”
Idaho country radio host from Boise, Alana Lynn said that she was surprised by the outrage from country fans in regards to the lyrics. The song lyrics are being accused of having a very "gay driven agenda."
The band has addressed the issue saying that country songs have always been built on, "heartache and jealousy" and that is what this song talks about, Fox News added.
