A little girl with cancer has one item on her bucket list she still wants to have crossed off and that is to dance with Taylor Swift to her hit song “Shake It Off.”
KENS-TV reported that Jalene Salinas, who was diagnosed with a PNET tumor after having headaches in April 2014, has already crossed off some of the items that she wanted to do. Doctors had told her family that the tumor, which is a cancer that is too aggressive to be treated, to let Jalene do whatever she wanted to do.
Swift has reportedly sent the little girl a gift filled with plenty of memorabilia, but the family is hopeful they may get her to do a Skype session or Facetime with the little girl.
People reported that actor Taye Diggs even posted a photo of her bucket list on his Facebook page.
The Texas community where the family lives has been using a hashtag on Twitter called #ShakeItOffJalene in addition to tagging the singer in hopes that they will get Jalene her wish to communicate with Swift.
Jalene’s mother, Jennifer Arriaga, has said regardless of whether they will be able to give her daughter her wish, she wants to “just be happy, let’s smile with her. And when the time comes when whatever happens, we’ll have our time to mourn and to be sad, but right now let’s just enjoy her.”
