Last week, Mumford & Sons announced that they would be releasing a brand new album, Wilder Mind and that the new album would be completely electric. They were leaving behind their signature banjos and changing up the formula.
The wait is over for fans that are wondering what Mumford & Sons will sound like with this new electric direction, the group just released the albums first single, "Believe," and it features their brand new sound, Billboard reported.
The song starts off with a familiar tone that would have been heard on the bands previous albums, Mumford's vocals are bare and subtle. The single slowly builds on itself and reaches a point in the middle of the track when the electric guitars fully take over and the sound can be felt.
Not all early reception has been positive, The Huffington Post added that it felt like a Coldplay single or the b-side of a Dave Matthews album.
Wilder Mind will be released on May 4th.
