Alternate universes, futuristic vehicles, and plenty of explosions: the new trailer for Disney's Tomorrowland looks like everything you'd expect from a big-budget summer blockbuster.
The film, directed by The Incredibles and Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol helmer Brad Bird, has remained rather secretive ever since it began production: for example, the film was originally known under the working title 1952 back in 2013 when Entertainment Weekly reported on a box they received containing mysterious items relating to the film.
After much speculation, including rumors that the film was tied to Star Wars: Episode VII (it wasn't) and a similarly enigmatic first trailer, this new trailer cements the film as a fantastical action picture.
George Clooney stars as a boy wonder-turned-bitter inventor who takes a young girl (Britt Robertson) under his wing and to a mysterious alternate universe known as Tomorrowland. Hugh Laurie also shows up as the film's villain, while Tim McGraw, Judy Greer, Kathryn Hahn and Keegan-Michael Key round out the cast.
Now that the veil is finally lifted, there's only one question left...do you want to go to Tomorrowland?
The film hits theaters May 22.
