As Phaedra Parks’ husband, Apollo, serves his 8-year sentence, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star is heading to court herself.
Parks recently sued a former friend, Angela Stanton, for defamation, after Stanton wrote and published a book accusing Parks of running a “criminal enterprise” very similar to the one that landed her husband in prison. Upon the book's publishing, Parks filed the lawsuit. She also requested that the judge dismiss the counterclaims from Stanton, to which the judge gave a big, fat “no.”
Court documents obtained by RadarOnline state, “Having considered the Plaintiff’s brief, Defendant’s response brief, the record before it and the applicable and controlling law, DENIES Plaintiffs Motion To Dismiss Counterclaims.”
Radar claims the lawsuit has been rather slow going, and it even took weeks for the Bravo star to schedule her deposition. If you remember correctly, Ms. Parks even refused to answer any questions regarding her husband. Sounds like the RHOA star is trying to be a bit difficult, maybe?
A new court date is set for April 20th, 2015. Wonder if the Atlanta native will be willing to answer more questions this time? The only thing that makes the entire situation suspicious, is if Parks has nothing to hide, why not answer the questions? Not looking too good, Phaedra.
