The remains of a missing Alaskan family may have been found after they went missing last May.
According to Alaska Dispatch News, the remains were found on Saturday night along with some clothing that may have belonged to the family that included a mother, her boyfriend, and the woman’s two children.
Rebecca Adams, 23, Michelle Hundley, 6, Jaracca Hundley, 3, and Brandon Jividen, 37, had last been seen where they lived in their apartment located in the Kenai Peninsula area.
Their remains were found in an area southeast from where their apartment was. An individual discovered the remains while driving along a trail and immediately notified the proper authorities, according to the police.
A statement from the police in Kenai also cautioned that there had yet to be “positive identifications from the remains.”
CNN reported that in addition to the family, their dog Sparks had also gone missing.
As previously reported, Adams’ sister, Lanell, once said that during a phone call with her sister in the week leading up to her disappearance, Rebecca had sounded “distressed” and couldn’t say what was going on. She also told her sister that she wanted her to “Know that I love you.”
There is still no word on what happened to the family or why they disappeared.
