People filled Austin TX- streets as thousands arrived for the 2015 South by Southwest festival.

With over twenty screenings inside Austin’s very own Paramount Theatre, hundreds of fans waited to see the world premiere of a new Narrative Spotlight called, The Final Girls.

Starring American Horror Story, Taissa Farmiga, and The Vampire Diaries, Nina Dobrev, The Final Girls is a horror comedy film, about a young woman grieving the loss of her mother, yet finds herself pulled into the world of her mom’s most famous horror movie role from the 1980s.
Farmiga, who plays as Max, the leading role of the film, walked the red carpet excited about the final outcome of the movie.

“It’s the perfect mix,” said Farmiga, “It’s sentimental, it’s emotional, it’s scary, it’s hilarious, you know you just brewed it correctly and it came out great.”

Other cast members including Malin Akerman, Alexander Ludwig, and Adam Divine also walked the red carpet Friday night.

Actress Nina Dobrev also joined the cast for the premiere. For the Let’s Be Cops star, playing the role of "Vicki" was something she had never experience before.

“I’ve never done something like this before,” said Dobrev. “My character is sort of this rich, kind of borderline bitchy mean girl, but she’s not really mean she’s being honest, but she’s so honest that she’s so blunt that it comes across as bitchy, but she has the best intentions. It’s so fun."

The film was premiered this weekend on March 13 at South by Southwest.
