Indie rock and popular early 2000s group Dashboard Confessional and Third Eye Blind will be heading back on the road and are co-headlining the upcoming Festival Pier event taking place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The festival will be kicking off on Saturday, June 20. Not only will be they co-headlining the festival, the groups took to social media to announce an entire North American tour.
Yahoo! reported that the tour will kick off in in Cleveland, Ohio on May 29th.
Chris Carrabba of Dashboard Confessional took to the bands Facebook page and posted a video about their upcoming concert stop. This fired up fans who have been waiting to hear music and see the band live for years. Dashboard Confessional quickly rose to fame in the early 2000s with hits like "Hands Down" and "Vindicated." Since their popular debut, the band hasn't been heard from lately.
During his video Carrabba said that the band is ready to get back on the road and that they have missed connecting with their fans, "We've missed you, friends, and can't wait to spend our summer with you!"
Third Eye Blind took most of 2014 off but they are currently in the studio working on their fifth album and are planning to head back out on tour following this co-headlining appearance.
Philly.com reported that tickets for the upcoming festival will go on sale for the event this Saturday.
