An overconfident fugitive realized being a little too cocky isn’t the way to go when you break the law and evade an arrest.
Andrew Dale Marcum, 21, from Butler County in Ohio was wanted on charges such as burglary, abduction, assault, and domestic violence when he actually posted a comment on the official Butler County Sheriff's Office Facebook page laughing off the fact he hasn’t been caught yet.
Commenting on his photo, he wrote “I ain’t tripping half of them don’t even know me.” The Sheriff’s Office answered, “If you could stop by the Sheriff’s Office, that’d be great.”
The response, while it seemed funny to some, actually worked. Enough heat was placed on Marcum that he turned himself in on Tuesday.
Huffington Post reports Sheriff Richard K. Jones couldn’t help but rub it in a little bit, tweeting out a photo of a jail cell and telling Marcum “we've got your room ready...”
He also tweeted about Marcum crying in his mug shot, writing, “Is it raining outside or is he teared up. Tough guys sometime sensitive.”
