There are many questions that still need to be answered after the safe return of a woman whose family thought she had been kidnapped and was being held for ransom.

The Associated Press noted that authorities said Denise Huskins, 29, was reported missing by her boyfriend in Northern California on Monday, but found safe in Southern California two days later. Huskins’ boyfriend said that abductors allegedly broke into their San Francisco Bay Area home, kidnapped his girlfriend and were holding her for ransom.

The San Francisco Chronicle later received an audio file of a woman identifying herself as Huskins and referencing current events to prove the exact date.

On Wednesday, her father Mike Huskins, said his daughter called him to say that she had been dropped off at her mother’s home in Southern California. At the time, her mother was not there though as she had went to Northern California to look for her.

Huskins made her way to her father’s apartment and told him that she was safe and "they" dropped her off at Huntington Beach.

The entire community and authorities are extremely relieved that Huskins was found and are now focused on getting some answers about what actually happened in this bizarre case.
