Asher Monroe has worked with artists like Sean Kingston and Chris Brown but now he is putting the focus back on his solo career with On My Way Pt. 2.

Monroe started his career in a variety of theater productions and attended high school at the famed Professional Performing Arts School in New York City. Along with being a musician, fans might also recognize Monroe from TV and film. He starred in Parenthood and MGM’s remake of Fame. It was through his early background in music and acting roles that his sound started to develop and now he is a YouTube sensation and has a growing dedicated fan base.

On My Way features the signature pop/dance sound that Monroe has created. His smooth vocal range and ability to find melodies that are not only catchy but danceable helps to take his music to the next level when it comes to pop. Monore doesn't just stay in the pop music realm though, he combines different elements like that of R&B and even at times reggae.

The album opens with "Soulmate" and it showcases that signature sound and is another catchy, danceable hit.
Monroe puts his energy behind his songs and really connects with the audience because he is putting his heart and passion behind the vocal delivery.

On My Way transitions from "Soulmate" to a more R-rated track with "Fu**ed Up." The name of the song is a bit shocking but the melody is smooth and features Kingston on the track. This track has a more R&B feel but hearing Kingston perform along side Monroe compliments because the two styles are different but are able to meet in the middle. The lyrics are a fun play on words and the title shouldn't make fans shy away from it.

Following that track is "Nobody Else" which returns to the spotlight to Monroe. HIs vocals feel like a combination of Sam Smith and Usher. This song slows down the album a bit and puts the focus on what Monroe and what he can do as a musician.

On My Way closes out with "Sign Your Love" and "Bye Bye." It is a continuation of this dance/pop flavor and really showcases what kind of an impression Monore wants to make in the industry. He has the talent and the vocal ability to make his name known in the industry.
