Baltimore Police are currently dealing with a dangerous issue that could be described as a police officer's worst nightmare.
According to The Baltimore Sun, a "Credible Threat" has come to the desk of the Baltimore Police department. This threat involves the notion that rival gangs are currently teaming up to "take out" law enforcement officers.
Some of the gangs believed to be involved in the threat include the Black Guerrilla Family, the Bloods, and the Crips. Furthermore, it is believed to be a full-on partnership.
"Law enforcement agencies should take appropriate precautions to ensure the safety of their officers," police said.
Many speculate that this retaliation is directly related to the death of Freddie Gray, who passed away on April 19 after he was arrested by Baltimore police, via NBC News.
Today, Capt. Eric Kowalczyk would not elaborate on whether the Gray incident is relatable in the current threat.
Moreover, last December featured news out of Baltimore that the Black Guerrilla Family had also targeted "white cops." This came directly from the office of the Baltimore FBI.
To say law enforcement officials in the Baltimore area have been on high-alert since then would be a gross understatement.
