Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea shot the music video to their new collaboration “Pretty Girls” and it was a throwback in more ways than one.
They were dressed in ‘80s-style clothes and were seen riding around on the back of a convertible in Malibu, Calif.
TMZ snapped a photo of them leaning in for a kiss – but never following through – similar to when Spears kissed Madonna at the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards but they actually went through with it.
The kiss sort of symbolizes the same it did back then; a veteran pop star passing the torch to a newbie.
Spears posted a photo of herself dressed in costume on Twitter on Thursday, seeming to quote lyrics from the song. Azalea, who’s team now runs her Twitter page, retweeted it.
“Pretty Girls” was recorded as far back as Dec. 2014, when Azalea called the song “undeniably great.”
