Bruce Jenner may have to go to court over the fatal car crash he was involved in back in February. The victim’s two grown stepchildren are reportedly getting ready to file a wrongful death lawsuit against Jenner.

The victim in the Feb. 7 crash on the Pacific Coast Highway was Kim Howe. Jenner hit her Lexus, pushing her into oncoming traffic. A hummer struck the car.

Now, TMZ is reporting that Howe’s two stepchildren have hired lawyers and are the only living people who can file a wrongful death lawsuit for Howe. The victim’s husband died in 2003 and both of her parents have died as well. She has no other blood relatives.

Sources told TMZ that Howe was not close to either stepchild. However, in California, that doesn’t matter. They were asked to find pictures of themselves with Howe in order to prove that they had at least some kind of relationship with her.

Jenner also reportedly hired a lawyer just days after the crash. The Olympic medalist, who appeared on E!’s Keeping Up With The Kardashians, told police he was escaping paparazzi at the time of the crash. However, it was later reported that there was surveillance tape from an MTA bus camera that proved Jenner was at fault. There were also reports that his phone was taken to see if he was texting or talking while driving.

Last month, there was also a rumor that Jenner’s documentary series about his transition to becoming a woman would be delayed. He is still expected to do an interview with Diane Sawyer.
