Marvel has found the writers for the upcoming Captain Marvel movie, which won’t be out until 2018. Nicole Perlman, who co-wrote Guardians of the Galaxy with James Gunn, and Meg LeFauve, who co-wrote the script for Pixar’s upcoming Inside Out, are reportedly in final talks.

The news was first reported by The Tracking Board, which noted that there have been rumors that Perlman would get the job. However, this is the first time LeFauve was linked to the project.

The Hollywood Reporter also confirmed that the two are the studio’s pick for the film’s script.

The Captain Marvel film is part of Marvel’s Phase Three and will hit theaters on July 6, 2018. No star has been picked to play Carol Danvers, who has extraordinary superpowers. As EW notes, the Carol Danvers version has been in the comics since 2012 and is also a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy and the Avengers.

Perlman has been a long-time member of the Marvel stable, as she also worked on the first Thor movie. LeFauve’s other work includes producing The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys.

Marvel has yet to find a director for the film.
