The man who murdered Jeffry Dahmer has explained why he killed him in a new interview.

In a recent interview with the New York Post, Christopher Scarver speaks out about why he beat the notorious serial killer to death more than 20 years ago.

Scarver said that Dahmer would taunt other inmates by shaping prison food to look like severed limbs and using ketchup to appear as blood.

“He would put them in places where people would be,” Scarver, now 45, recalled. “He crossed the line with some people — prisoners, prison staff. Some people who are in prison are repentant — but he was not one of them.”

The inmate went on to say that morning of Nov. 28, 1994, he, Dahmer and another prisoner named Jesse Anderson, were all sent to clean the bathrooms. Scarver said that he confronted Dahmer about his crimes of raping, killing, dismembering and eating 17 men and boys from 1978 to 1991.

“I asked him if he did those things ’cause I was fiercely disgusted. He was shocked. Yes, he was,” Scarver said. “He started looking for the door pretty quick. I blocked him.”

Scarver claims that the prison guards wanted him dead and after they left the area, he hit Dahmer with a metal bar twice and crushed his skull. After he was finished, he killed Anderson as well.

He was already serving a life term for murder and given two additional terms for the killings.

Two decades later, Scarver said he spends his time behind bars writing poetry for his site.
