For whatever reason, Jared Leto didn’t make it into the Suicide Squad cast photo that director David Ayer shared earlier this week. To make up for it, Ayer posted a chilling first look at the Oscar winner as Batman’s archenemy.
Back on Wednesday, Ayer posted a cast photo, which included most of the film’s stars, from the first table read. Will Smith, Joel Kinnaman, Margot Robbie, Cara Delevingne, Adeleke Akinnuoye-Agbaje and others could be seen in the photo.
However, Leto wasn’t there, which led fans to start tweeting “#WhereIsJared.” Since everyone wanted to see what Leto would look like after he chopped off his long hair, Ayer finally answered that question Thursday night. He posted a picture of Leto, with green hair. He’s holding a camera straight to the audience, just like on the iconic The Killing Joke cover.
Other members of the cast include Scott Eastwood, Ray Olubowale, Jai Courtney and Viola Davis. The film hits theaters on Aug. 5, 2016, following the March release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
