Beyonce and Jay Z celebrated their seven year anniversary with the release of Beyonce’s “Die With You” on Tidal.
The soft, piano ballad “Die With You” , was released on Tidal, the music streaming service on Saturday. The song was reportedly written in honor of the married couples’ seven year anniversary and was also released on their anniversary day.
Jay Z had unveiled that he now had owning rights to the streaming service last week. He came through on his promise to fans that Tidal would spotlight “exclusive experiences” from some major names in the music industry and he started with his wife.
Beyonce showed a video snippet of the unreleased song on her Facebook page. The full version is on Tidal.com which she directed fans to.
Jay Z was the cameraman recording Beyonce belting out the ballad while she is wearing a baseball hat with her hair in braids looking cute as a button. Jay Z wasn’t revealed until the end of the video.
Jay Z purchased Tidal in January, but the music streaming service has been around a year. The newly relaunched app is co-owned by Beyonce, Madonna, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Kanye West, Usher and Deadmau5. Standard definition streaming starts at $9.99 a month, and a high definition audio version goes for $19.99.
Tidal is aiming to be different by getting exclusive streaming first-window deals with artists available. The signing deal would be Tidal being the first to play the artist before other apps got play.
