While many of the teasers and trailers for Tomorrowland have highlighted the mystery surrounding the futuristic world, Disney’s latest is focuses more on the action and adventure aspects.
It turns out that there is a group from Tomorrowland who want to capture or stop Frank Walker (George Clooney) from taking the young Casey Newton (The Longest Ride’s Britt Robertson) to the magical world to change it. The second trailer for the film teased this angle, but the third trailer features more footage from a dangerous action scene in Frank’s home, as these strange robotic people chase after them.
Casey also knows a lot about Frank, who she seeks out after her first trips into Tomorrowland. She thinks he has all the answers. We won’t find out if he does though until we actually see the movie.
Tomorrowland was directed by The Incredibles’ Brad Bird and written with Damon Lindelof and Jeff Jensen. Other members of the cast include Hugh Laurie, Kathryn Hahn, Judy Greer and Pierce Gagnon. It opens on May 22.
