While we have already seen a trailer for Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four, it wasn’t until today that we finally got a look at The Thing. The production finally released the first image of the ever-lovin,’ blue-eyed Thing.

Empire Magazine shared three images today, including one with The Thing, played by Jamie Bell. Trank decided to have Bell wear a motion capture suit, so no physical rocky Thing outfit was built. It definitely looks much better than the outfit Michael Chiklis wore in the previous FF films.

“Jamie in real life is a tough guy,” Trank told Empire. “He exudes this strength. Ben is Reed’s best friend in the archetypal, spiritual way, and you want that character to have that warmth and that strength.”

The other images Empire posted show Miles Teller on a gurney and another with the full team in their full protective gear.

The images come almost three months after the first trailer was released. With the film hitting theaters on Aug. 7, we are going from knowing next to nothing about the movie to much more really quickly.

Teller stars in the new film as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, while Kate Mara stars as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman. Michael B. Jordan plays Johnny Storm/Human Torch, while Bell plays Ben Grimm/The Thing. Toby Kebbell also stars as Dr. Doom.
