The first teaser for the Amy Winehouse documentary Amy has been released, showing the haunting side of Winehouse’s talent and life before fame.
Winehouse died at the age of 27 in 2011 due to accidental alcohol poisoning.
The first teaser shows clips of Winehouse talking about her music and when asked about the prospect of fame, she replied, "I don't think I'm going to be at all famous, I don't think I could handle it. I would probably go mad, do you know what I mean, I'd go mad."
Amy has a July 3 release date in the UK and was directed by Senna’s Asif Kapadia.
Deadline reports a U.S. distribution deal has been made, with A24 acquiring the rights.
Footage featured in the trailer took place before her 2006 Grammy-winning Back to Black, which skyrocketed her to fame.
