Sinister was probably one of the scariest horror films of the past few years, and Mr. Boogie will be hitting theaters once again this summer. We now have our first official look at the upcoming horror sequel.

The first teaser came from the official Focus Features YouTube account It's pretty short, just 16 seconds long, but still gives us a brief glimpse into the movie's visuals.

The teaser is titled "Warning," and the narration features an unidentified character saying, "Tell anyone, he'll kill you and your whole family, and watch the film over." It sounds like a child's voice, and the trailer focuses a bit more on the kids than the marketing for the first movie did. Could this sequel give us more of a glimpse into what Mr. Boogie's terror is like from the child's perspective, whereas the first movie was told completely from the eyes of an adult?

Otherwise, it seems like this sequel will have a similar setup as the first movie, showing a family moving into a new house and being terrorized by Mr. Boogie. We also get a brief glimpse into more of those horrifying film reels, and we can presumably look forward to a whole new set of those this time around.

According to the film's official plot synopsis via Slashfilm, the movie will pick up in the wake of Sinister as a protective mother and her 9-year-old twin sons move into a house, which they don't yet know is marked for death by the terrifying Buhguul. The movie stars Shannyn Sossamon, James Ransone, Robert Sloan and Dartanian Sloan.

Sinister 2 will be directed by Ciaran Foy, who previously directed the horror film Citadel. Sinister writers Scott Derrickson and C. Robert Cargill wrote the sequel's screenplay.

We also saw the first official images from the movie this week. The three images again focus on the kids, reinforcing the idea that the sequel might be revolving more around the child characters than on the adults like the original did.

Sinister was released in 2012 and was a pretty big hit, costing only $3 million but grossing $77 million worldwide.

Sinister 2 will hit theaters on August 21.
