Garth Brooks is currently touring the country on his first tour in nearly 15 years.

While he’s enjoying his time on the road with his wife, Trisha Yearwood, Brooks recently expressed concern during an interview with SiriusXM radio this week.

Apparently the country music legend is worried he’ll have to lip sync at the Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday night due to his demanding tour schedule. Brooks will have 5 shows in Portland, Oregon in a row before taking the stage Sunday evening, according to Fox News.

“It’s a once in a lifetime performance,” Brooks claims, additionally saying that returning to the ACM stage will be very “emotional” from him. Not only will Brooks be performing, he is nominated for the night’s biggest honor, Entertainer of the Year, where fans can vote for their favorite to win the category.

Lip syncing is becoming more and more common, especially when considering live award show programs. However, that doesn’t mean the Oklahoma native simply wants to join on the lip syncing bandwagon. He claims he is one of the few to actually consider doing it prior to a live, national broadcast.

Just last year, the members of Rascal Flatts suffered backlash following their lip syncing performance on television.
