Josh Groban will be releasing his latest album, full of Broadway covers, in late April but he has already released the first single. Groban teamed up with Kelly Clarkson to perform "All I Ask Of You" from the Phantom of the Opera.
The duet was originally recorded by Cliff Richard and Sarah Brightman in 1986. Richard played the part of Raoul, Vicomte de Chagny and Brightman played Christine Daaé in the original production. The Phantom of the Opera is the longest running Broadway show in history. It overtook Cats on January 6th 2006.
Groban is singing the part of Raoul and Clarkson is performing Christine Daaé part. The two not only have amazing chemistry but deliver a memorable rendition of the Broadway classic.
The Phantom of the Opera is currently touring North America and features Voice finalist Chris Mann playing the lead role of the Phantom, Tulsa World News added.
Groban’s latest album Stages will be released on April 28th and Clarkson recently released her latest studio effort Piece by Piece and will be heading out on tour this summer.
