Even a mere month before it comes to the big screen, Marvel reveals new cast members to one of its biggest projects. This time it's Julie Delpy (the Before trilogy) and Linda Cardellini (Freaks and Geeks), who were just announced as stars in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Although it was revealed in a press release, Slashfilm unveiled the news. It's not clear exactly who they play in the superhero sequel, but given how late they are announced to the project, it's likely these are minor roles at best and cameos at least. This is the first time either actress appeared in a Marvel feature.

While some speculate this is Marvel's sneaky announced as to who Captain Marvel will be, chances are they would not unveil that information—should it be revealed inside the film—until after its premiere. Fans can find out for themselves, however, when it comes to theaters on May 1.

Although best known for her work as a star and writer in the Before series, Delpy is also the star and director behind films like 2 Days in Paris and 2 Days in New York and the upcoming Lelo. She also soon stars in Todd Solondz's Wiener-Dog.

Cardenllini, meanwhile, has also appeared in the Scooby-Doo movies and on shows like ER, Mad Men, Californication and more. She recently starred in Netflix's Bloodline, and also has roles coming up in Lost in Austin and Daddy's Home.
